In 2016 , the pianist Ben Rando brings together a team of exceptional musicians to deliver his «True Story», first album in his own name. Fascinated by classical music of the XXth century and also keening folk and pop music, he signs a jazz album resolutely contemporaneous with a modern sound carried by intimist and profound atmospheres.
Passionate by singing and built by previous successes with experienced vocalists such as Marion Rampal, Leïla Martial and Anna Farrow, he chooses to give a key position at Sarah Elizabeth Charles pure and vibrant voice who also writes the album lyrics.
Ben Rando’s music is at a crossroads, taking the risk to mix simple musical forms and harmonic richness of Ravel and Fauré, linking these two worlds through the universal language of jazz.
